Microsoft Exchange Helps Support Microsoft’s Growing Bottom Line

You may not feel that Microsoft is putting much focus on consumer computing versus business…and you would be right. Microsoft’s latest quarterly financial data shows that Microsoft is still rolling in dough. And the majority of its profits are still coming from spending by businesses.

Its Business Division is a huge profit center for Microsoft, which includes Office, Lync, SharePoint, Exchange and Dynamics, helped to drive overall sales for the quarter up 7 percent relative to last year.

Chief Financial Officer Peter Klein indicated that the large-business demand for Microsoft products and services is still healthy.

According to The Seattle Times, there was little growth in revenues for the consumer sales market.
